Are you a talented painter who would love to be part of a one-of-a-kind project?
Located in the seaside city of Gdansk, Poland, Breakthru Films and Trademark Films are following up their 2006 success, “Peter and the Wolf” by creating a labor of love: Loving Vincent.
Billed as the “first fully painted feature film in the world” it is directed by director Dorota Kobiela and painter (“visual effects artist”) Hugh Welchman.
The website says the training and work was to begin in January, but the page for submitting your portfolio is still live–so you might still be able to work on this piece that promises to be amazing.
Here are the stated criteria:
If you are
- a high-level oil painter,
- interested in using your oil-painting skills to animate on a film,
- available for training and employment between January and August of 2016,
send us your portfolio!
If you are accepted you will go through extensive training in order to be able to paint in Van Gogh’s style.
