Join the Inaugural Jersey Shore Event for Plein Air Painters

Summary: This is a “Paint Out” event for 35 selected Plein Air artists, followed by an exhibition of the work created during the paint out which spans a 44 day period. This gives painters plenty of time to visit a variety of locations along the Long Beach Island, New Jersey seashore.
Finished paintings will be shown in the exhibition “Island Life” in September. This exhibition will feature artist’s Plein Air works and/or studio paintings developed from their Plein Air studies.

Eligibility Requirements: Open to all artists 18 years and older in the continental US.
Special Notes: All work for the exhibition must be made during the period of July 5-September 5, 2016.
There is an application fee of $35 for this event.
Juror Nancy Tankersley, will select approximately 35 artists to participate in the 2016 Paint Out event. Artists must submit 3 images of their previous work painted in the past two years for consideration. Painting media can include oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel.
